¿Un santuario? ¿Una fortaleza? ¿Una prisión? ¿Qué es? ¿Qué era este sitio tan misterioso y tan bello?
MACHUPICCHU - LA CIUDAD ENIGMA.
Los arqueólogos discuten el sentido de esta fantástica ciudad de piedra y cada visitante tiene derecho a elaborar su propia conjetura.
A 2400 msnm, escondidas entre montañas, 140 estructuras conforman el Machupicchu. Bloques de piedra simplemente apoyados entre sí, sin argamasa alguna, constituyen los principales edificios.
Las piedras fueron cortadas y pulidas con tanta precisión que las uniones son sencillamente perfectas; es imposible insertar siquiera una delgada hoja de cuchillo.
¿Cómo trasladaron esas piedras? - Se supone que al cortarlas dejaban unas salientes en forma de manijas que luego eran pulidas. Cientos de trabajadores las cargaban o empujaban. Cuando debían cruzar un rio simplemente apoyaban la piedra en el suelo, desviaban el curso del agua para que pasara tras la piedra y seguían avanzando.
Tanto esfuerzo revela la importancia de Machupicchu para los Incas.Hoy la llamamos CIUDAD SECRETA; sin embargo, ocho caminos llevaban hasta allí. Ceremonias, funerales, sacrificios humanos, encuentros multitudinarios, intercambios, cultivos, sueños, placeres y dolores de una civilización riquísima laten en cada piedra de Machupicchu.
Tal vez el enigma nunca se debele por completo y tal vez sea mejor así.
Por eso visitar Machupicchu es simplemente ¡una experiencia profunda y emocionante! ¡Una experiencia Dicovery! Come on a tour in Peru!!

I live in Cusco, which is a city on the highland in the south of Peru. It has a population of 390.000 people and it's the fourth biggest city in Peru.
ResponderBorrarIt's a beautiful city, and it was the capital of The Inca Empire. Many believe that The city was planned as an effigy in The shape of puma, a sacred animal.It's beautiful for walking around the city you can see all the famous places here for example The main square, Sacsayhuaman, qoricancha,churches, museums, and markets,etc. At night you can go a to restaurants and bars.
The weather here is very different from the highland of Peru. It's very cold in the morning here and during the day is sunny and sometimes rains.
Cusco is famous for ceviche, chiriuchu, conejo al horno,etc. There's a festival in June called INTY RAYMI, with a lot of fireworks and people in the streets, and everybody spends most of the time watching folklorists’ dances for the day of CUSCO.
But I think the best things about Cusco are the people. It's quite small and it's very safe and friendly. It's a working city and it has a real sense of history; and that's the main reason why I like live here so mucho.
